You can only submit PDF files on the Canon Webshop. This is the best way to guarantee that the output will be as you expect.
- Bleeds: Do you have files with an image that runs to the edge and want the print to look like this? Then the file must have a bleed of at least 3 mm all around. This means that the image extends 3 mm over the final edge. The edge is cut away after printing. This therefore means that your file must be 3 mm larger than the final format on all sides. For example, in the case of an A4 (210 x 297 mm), the format supplied – including bleed – must therefore be at least 216 x 303 mm.
- Cutting marks:In order to be able to cut the print order in the correct format, we need cutting marks which you must save in your PDF file. We recommend placing text or logos at least 4 mm from these cutting edges. This means that you can be sure that the text remains on your print and is not cut off.
- Resolution: As a general guideline, the resolution for printed material should be 300 dpi. For large format printing (e.g. A0, A1, roll-up banners, and/or flags), 150 dpi is usually sufficient.
- Fonts: Please note that all fonts are enclosed in the PDF (included). The PDF must also not be protected with a password, e.g. against editing and/or printing.
