Perform the following instruction when you work on a Mac OS X-system with version 10.11 or higher, including Catalina.
Before you begin:
- Make sure you are logged in to uva.canon.nl.
- If you have an older version of the Canon Internet Printer UvA installed, first remove the old version.
1. Download the file: CanonInternetPrinterUvA_V2019SR4_macOS.zip
2. Double-click on the downloaded file.
3. Ctrl-click on signed.pkg.
4. Click on [Open with] > [Installer (default)]
5. Click on [Open].
Important:
- If you have a system with Mac OS X version lower than 10.15, proceed to step 6.
- If you have a system with Mac OS X version 10.15 (Catalina), follow steps 5a to 5d and then proceed to step 6.
5a. The file can't be opened. Click on [OK].
5b. Go to Apple menu → System preferences → Security & Privacy.
5c. Click on [Open Anyway].
5d. Click on [Open].
6. The wizard opens. Click [Continue] in the [Introduction] page.
7. Select the destination and click [Continue].
8. Click [Install] in de [Installation Type] page.
9. Enter your Mac administrator credentials and click [Install software].
10. When the installation has been completed, click [Close] in de [Summary] page.
11. If required, remove the installation program.
12. Click Apple menu → System preferences → Printers & Scanners.
13. Control-click the just added printer.
14. Select [Set as default printer] if you want to use the [Canon Internet Printer UvA] as standard printer.
