By default you can change the print settings in two different places: A en C.
A. In the print window of programs such as Word or Excel
When you click on [OK] in the print window in fact a print pdf is created. This means that in the print window you can change the print settings that determine how the print pdf is being created. The page format (A4, A3) and the page orientation (portrait, landscape) will be taken over from your document settings.
Example
You have created a Word document of 4 pages, A4 format with portrait page orientation:
If you choose the print settings like indicated below:
a print pdf will be created that consists of 6 pages (1,3,1,3,1,3):
Attention: default print settings will be applied to this print pdf!
Before the print pdf is sent to the printer a number of default settings will be applied. Usually the default settings are set to black and white and two-sided printing.
So, by default, the print pdf in the example above will be printed two-sided and black and white.
C. Via [Options] at the user panel of the printer
Before you actually print the print-pdf, you can still change the print settings via [Options] at the user panel of the printer.
